Most Cat equipment runs on a 24 volt + DC battery system. This is a 12 volt DC radio. Should be equipped with a 24v to 12v step down transformer. Please check specs on current radio or by using a multimeter between pins 6 and 3 on the harness in cab to ensure there is 12 volts across these two pins (pins labeled on rear of harness). Failure to check will damage your equipment as well as this piece of equipment. If you are unsure if this unit is compatible, please check the radio cavity prior to purchasing for mating harness (See last photo).
